My husband is getting annoyed.

You know all of those things you always wanted to do but never found the time and energy for? Well I'm doing them all!! My surgery was March 21st. Since then I've gone from a size 22 to a 16/18. I have all of this energy there is no more procrastinating. My lawn is in the best shape ever. I put in a 100 by 100 foot veggie garden. I don't stop until I go to bed. I think my husband is missing all of the down time. Just sent him for gas for the mower! Back to the yard!!

As someone who is married can I offer some advice. Yes we have lots of energy now - I went from playing soccer 2x week to 5x a week. Hubby was concerned I was doing too much. We talked things through and he understands and supports me now. My point is you mention that you THINK your husband misses the down time, but you should really talk to him. Be open and honest you still have a lot if changes to go and your journey is really just beginning.we change so much we sometimes forget to explain things to our loved ones. If your hubby is like mine they worry about us and worry we are taking on too much.

My hubby has been very supportive and I just have to keep reminding myself that just because my life is changing quickly, I have to let him make changes at his own pace. I bought my first bike in 20 years this weekend and he was totally supportive (especially since I got it at a garage sale for $10!!). He's been very patient with all of the errands I've been sending him on for things for the yard and garden and he even helped me plant onions tonight. Our family is definitely the type that revolves around the mom. I'm very lucky in that respect. Because I'm changing, our whole family dynamic is changing for the better, I just have to make sure they can all keep up with me now! ;)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
