kraney 219 Posted May 20, 2013 Just looking for feedback if I should call my surgeon or pcp. This weekend I have had terrible dizziness with vertigo and a headache in my forehead that won't go away. It started Saturday morning and I actually was in a store and had to grab onto something to keep from falling! The dizziness is especially bad when I first lie down, or move arouNd while lying down, or get up from a lying or sitting position. Just wondering if this could be associated with the surgery. I had rny on 3/14.
slowtogo 301 Posted May 20, 2013 Sounds like you might be very dehydrated. What color is your pee?
kraney 219 Posted May 20, 2013 Sorry I meant to put that in there....not dehydrated. Getting in 70-80ozs daily. Urine color is almost clear. I have previously had problems with my potassium levels. I also normally eat less than 25 carbs daily. I am getting in 80-90 grams Protein daily. I have made an appt with a pcp...just not my normal one. ElleG 394 Posted May 20, 2013 I would get in with the PCP they can test your blood and check your levels to see if that's the issue. I hope you get to feeling better soon, but limit your driving just in case so it doesn't happen while you on the road. How is your blood pressure are you on meds? kraney 219 Posted May 20, 2013 Not on blood pressure meds. Every time I've been checked Bp has been normal. HW 229, SW 214, CW 186 RNY 3/14/
kraney 219 Posted May 20, 2013 Went to pcp. It's vertigo :/ She is still checking all my labs. Will find out about those on Wednesday, just to be sure. Blood sugars were tested. Was an 87. So was ok. HW 229, SW 214, CW 186 RNY 3/14/

tbaby 27 Posted May 21, 2013 Ask ur pcp if u can take Xanax for the vertigo. That helps that. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
kraney 219 Posted May 21, 2013 Hmmm Xanax? I'll ask them about it Wednesday, thanks. They did give me a medicine to take every six hours as well as some exercises to do three times a day. Plus she was really nice and upped my dose of anti nausea meds to deal with that as well, since that is now preventing me from eating much. Thanks for the advice guys. I love these boards for that reason! HW 229, SW 214, CW 186 RNY 3/14/

I now feel its my sinuses and I treat it that wAy. It goes away eventually I just don't get so upset anymore. It always subsides. I'd get dull headaches in front of forehead and not mode wasn't blocked . It's way deep in my sinuses. Maybe this may help you. Good luck I know it's scarey. AmandaD 44 Posted May 21, 2013 Sounds like something I had a couple of years ago. It was from sinus and ear Fluid. Probably not from surgery, just bad timing. Every time I riled over in bed I got the spins and I'd be walking down the hall at work and walk right into the wall. Took about 6 weeks to resolve completely. I also get the headaches in the front of my forehead. Doing the exercises the dr gave me to try and help it go away. As well as the medicine to take.
