hotpink_bubbles 0 Posted February 18, 2007 Hey all, the other night i was sitting in bed watching tv, and one of those paid programming things came on. It was about a program by a Bariatric Surgeon called Amaze Rx. It said that all the people they had shown on it, had Lap Band surgery, and were doing this Amaze Rx, which is like shakes you drink. It claims, you can lose 1 pound a day. Im just wondering if anyone has heard of this first of all, and second if anyone has tried it and does it work/is it worth it? If any of you all could let me know, Id appreciate it. Thanks All. Hope you all are having a good weekend! OHHHH and Dont forget to watch the DAYTONA 500 tomorrow! Who do you think will win? Im betting on Kasey Kahne....(sp?). Anyways Bye all. ~Hotpink~
sleepyjean 0 Posted February 18, 2007 It claims, you can lose 1 pound a day. That is how you know it's all bullcrap. Please don't fall for another fad diet/shake/pill/supplement/"program"/"system." If there were truly a way to lose a pound a day, it would be all over the news channels and there would be success stories left, right, and center. (Other than those on the paid commercial of course.)
paladin 0 Posted February 18, 2007 Never heard of it. I would be skeptical. So, your a Kasey fan? There are a few people on here that would quickly agree with you. I know that mychevygirl lives in the state of Washington kind of close to his home town. Personally, we are Stewart fans in our home. plormf77 0 Posted May 15, 2008 I'm having lap-band surgery on 5/29. My doctor suggested Amaze RX until then to reduce the size of my liver & to reduce the fat around the organs. Apparently doctors have to go around the liver to install the band. I've been using the Amaze RX since last Tuesday (5/6) & I've lost six pounds since. I'm not accusing it of being a laxative, but it does affect the digestive system, if you know I mean. All I'm saying is make sure all restrooms are mapped out just in case. (more important than fire exits unless that's your style?)
Jachut 487 Posted May 15, 2008 It'll be the same as any other very low calorie liquid diet - OK for shrinking your liver and losing some weight very fast (assuming its nutritionally balanced), but useless for long term weight loss and maintenance. And a lapband doesnt necessarily help you stick to a very rigid diet like that anyway, I can tell you right now, my husband wants me to do Optifast with him to support him and I would find it as hard now as I ever would have. Hastings 3 Posted May 15, 2008 One thing that I found so freeing when I decided to get a lap band was to be finally freed from the siren song of amazing weight loss gimmicks. Yes, I knew intellectually that they wouldn't work, but occasionally I would try them. Now I can just kick them to the curb cause I'm doing better than they advertise and the power to lose weight is between my ears and not in some one's cash register. Power to the people!

Power to the people! Did anyone try the mayo clinic diet? I hate bacon. If their is a worse diet for me I don't know what it...but I did it anyway. And the grapefruit diet, and jenny craig, and weight watchers, and the worse one to me- LA weight loss- what a money pit THAT was. The slim fast diet, nutrisystems, south beach, Atkins.< /p> I have to say my favorite one was weight watchers. I actually lost weight on that one and kept it off for a while. I lost 30lbs on nutrisystems once. Edited May 15, 2008 by ReadySteadyGo correct my horrible spelling.
