I had a total of five sites the first 4 took less than a week to close the fifth one took about 3 weeks.

Mine healed really nice in like 2 weeks. I did not have sutures nor staples, I just had Steri Strips to keep them closed. My surgeon pulled them off 2 wks after surgery.

I had one stitch in the 4 small incisions and 2 the 2 larger ones. My stitches still haven't dissolved and I was just wondering.

Mine were healed in less than two weeks. No staples or stitches, just glue.. The incisions are nice and smooth no bumps. My primary was like he (my surgeon) is a pro. :)

Geez. My date was 4/22 & mine still have scabs and bits of the stitches sticking out.

Mine was done with the Da Vinci robot. Idk if that makes a difference on the healing process. But, I just washed with soap and Water everyday and they healed way faster than I expected. Lol

Mine were glued with steristrips. At two weeks when they started coming off, they were closed and all. I kept one on for 4 weeks though. Never any issues with them.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
