How do you feel 2 1/2 weeks out? That is when I plan to return to work, barring any complications. I work in a bank. My first day back will be normal workday but the day after I start training on our new system. I already informed them that I may need to get up and walk around a bit now and again so they said they'll put me in the back of the room.

I'm curious about what to expect at that point. Will I experience pain at incisions, gas or bathroom issues, fatigue, or anything else that may bother me during the three long days I'll spend in training?

All of the above!! Some can do it but I don't recommend it at all.

I have no experienced any poo pains. Gas pains from eating normal food instead of liquid food. Your toots will stink horribly because of all the Protein. I have no pain at the incision sites. I have a pain in the muscle they cut through to get to my stomach. I took off my binder and i feel 100% better. Less restriction. It takes some getting use to but i only wear mine when i go for a walk for support on my tummy. I feel great. I get tired but it is only because i am a lot more active now than i ever was before surgery. You will do fine. Just remember your Proteins and walking. That will help you heal faster and lose weight faster

I'll be sitting in a training room all day but they said I could sit in the back where there is an exit so I don't distract anyone else. As for walking, how often and for how long? I can pace the rear of the room or exit to walk the hallway. I don't want to miss much of the classes, but I don't want to be uncomfortable either. And how long before the risk of blood lots is past? That is my biggest fear and main concern.

I had a hard time sitting in a chair for an extended period due to the left side pain, which is common. I either needed to recline, or lay down periodically. I would think you would need to get up and stretch and walk around every so often.

I also work for a bank and the first 2 days are difficult until I wAs comfortable sitting. I had pain on my left side and had to get up quite frequently.

Got a call from HR today. They moved my training out two weeks and will have someone else go in my place. I am sort of relieved. Now I can ease into things with the support of my manager and coworkers. They will cover me if I need to walk the back hall. And if I have to fart they will understand. :-)

I'm two and a half weeks out and I feel great. No pain. I've been released to exercise and lift already. No incision pain. Only issues are when I eat it hurts... But, I am starting pea size bites rather than just the baby spoon and it's getting better.

Surgery Date: May 2, 2013 - Amount Lost: 30lbs

I went back at three weeks. Could have gone back at 2 though. No worries.

Everyone is different. Guess Im a wussy because I could not have gone back to work in 2 weeks. I took my full 6 weeks off... FMLA allowed it and I had enough sick leave accumulated. I could have gone back with no issues after 4. I am in my 40's too so maybe it took me longer then most to recover.

I went back to work 2 weeks after surgery. I was tired that first week back, but I felt fine from surgery. I am a middle school teacher. I had my surgery done over Christmas break. I only took 2 days off of work before break, then had all of break to recover. I had planned some light activities that first week back... No labs or anything that I would have to be on my feet for the whole day. I really felt fine. Good Luck!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
