jbellastar 1 Posted May 19, 2013 I'm almost there but I'm like ravish. I want food so bad!!! Things I would never typically eat I'm willing to make exceptions for. I've worked so hard to get where I am and wouldn't jeopardize everything but still I'm thinking...... On the other hand I'm getting nervous not about the after so much but the actual surgery..... Jacqueline K 93 Posted May 19, 2013 I have 12 days left and I'm feeling the same. Preop diet has me wanting real food so badly. I am tired of being so hungry. Not to mention the food they have me eating tastes awful! Also diet has me running to the bathroom constantly. So not fun! I just have to keep reminding myself this is worth it. brandnewme2013 97 Posted May 19, 2013 Me too! Surgery in 2 days wanted a hotdog today but I was like nope only 2 more days. I'm thinking about the actual surgery too. Wondering if everything will go ok, will I regret it once I wake etc. But I have faith and so far all the signs have been there that I'm doing the right thing. Flmomof2 9 Posted May 19, 2013 I felt the same way before surgery. I was hungry & wanted "real food". I was nervous about the surgery, too I'm 33 days out & I'm feeling fairly normal except I do get super tired by the end of the week. The weeks post op of liquid food & puree are tough, too. BUT, they are worth it. I can eat real food now - VERY small amounts! I've lost 24 pounds and doing well. Can't wait to get my energy fully back, though Good luck!! rebeccaq 1 Posted June 9, 2013 I'm wondering if anyone can answer this question. 2 and a half weeks now since surgery. I had hoped I would see great improvement with my diabetes. Is it too soon to tell? They keep slowly raising my long insulin but shouldn't it be better. Lost 20 pds.
