Everybody is saying this is the worst part! Try drinking lots of Water, may make you feel full! You will get through it! Best of luck and hope this part goes by quickly for you!!

Ugh my stomach feels terrible too- all gurgly, little nausea, and like I need to go number 2 but I don't. Not sure if its because of all the crap food I ate yesterday - last meals and such. My surgeon makes us buy a diet they have ordered - very high Protein Shakes, Soups, puddings, and bars. I had pudding for Breakfast and I don't think it's sitting well.

That's not good, I sure hope you feel better soon. Trust me the last few days I am going to eat like I am going to the electric chair! Lol! How long are you on it? Mine is for 2 weeks, it's 6 Protein Shakes a day, 64 fl oz a day, you can fill in with Water, sugar free flavored water, broth, Decaf coffee/tea, and popsicles. The day before is all Clear liquids.

Lol yeah the eating I did yesterday was pretty epic- chicken biscuits for breakfast, chinese for lunch- those egg rolls were to die for, and for dinner.... this is a terrible combo I know - bagel bites and mac n' cheese. Also had my last Diet Dr Pepper last night.... boy am I going to miss those!!

I have to be on it for 2 weeks- I have surgery May 30th. Water as well, decaf stuff though I doubt I have any, popsicles, Jello, the 4 Meal Replacements a day, all the green raw veggies I want- no starchy ones though, 4 oz of lean meat. That's it. The day before surgery will be clear liquids for me too and a lovely bowel prep. I'm taking that day off - can't move my desk to the bathroom so I figure that was the way to go. :P

Sounds like you ate pretty well yesterday! Lol! That will be me as well! They didn't say anything about a bowel prep so I am hoping not. I don't blame you for taking the day off, I would be or will be to! Best of luck to you. Keep me posted as to how your making out :-)

Oh I have ate well past few weeks but yesterday I really did it up. lol

The bowel prep is something I am dreading! Supposedly the magnesium citrate stuff they make you drink tastes awful! Not sure how I'll choke that down.

Diet is going a little better... stomach finally settled down and feels ok. I had pudding stuff at 7am, jell-o cup at 10am, Protein bar- not too bad at 12, and now I'm eating my broccoli cheddar Protein soup- could be worse. I should have brought some salt and pepper as that would improve the flavor.

Since the intense hunger I felt at 10 I've been alright. Planning to have a Jell-O again before I leave for home. Then probably a Soup for dinner.... maybe some green Beans or something as they said unlimited green veggies. And definately going to have a popsicle before bed. :)

Thinking I might just be able to do this!

Oh you WILL do this! I have NO doubt! Just hang in there, it will all be so worth it! We will look back on this someday and be like oh that was nothing, HAAHAA! At least I hope. Glad your feeling better, and hopefully it's all up hill from here. You'll be able to get the prep down, you might be so hungry you won't even care, lol. Glad to hear you can have food, I can only have liquids :-(. I am sure it's going to be the chewing I miss the most. I am trying to get all my favorites in now, lol!

So my family made enchiladas for dinner last night... I thought I was going to kill them. I made my Protein soup- pretty gross and ate it in another room. Then went and took a shower so I wouldn't be anywhere near the kitchen while they ate. Had a couple sugar free popsicles and went to bed very early... so I wouldn't go raid the kitchen. Woke up with a terrible headache but the tylenol I took seems to have helped. I've already taken myself off NSAIDs and so far the tylenol isn't too bad. I've always used Advil in the past.

So it seems that when they eat I'm going to do something else to keep out of the way. They don't need to loose any weight and they have to eat so I'm trying not to get upset about it but those enchiladas looked so good.

Ugh, that's the worst! Between being hungry, the smell, and seeing it, OMG!! I am very proud of you for hanging in there, it's NOT easy. Just goes to show you can do it!! Sounds like a good idea to just remove yourself from the situation, easy no but will be all worth it! That's going to be hard for me as well, I'll be right where u are very soon! Hang in there, keep up the good work! :-)

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
