Bevy Boo 6 Posted May 16, 2013 Hi Kelly. I'm new to this site too. I'm having my bypass at end of May. So far, it seems everyone is different. I've not heard you can't eat carbs though. I know if you eat too much sugary stuff you get what is called dumping syndrome where you feel sick, dizzy light headed and flushed. Have you got a date for your op yet? Where about in England are you from? Bx
anai_nena 1 Posted May 16, 2013 Hi, yes everyone is different... you can eat carbs they jyst ask that u stay away from fried foods... sugars, fried foods, can cause dumping..its no joke... it sucks to get dumping...but getting gastric is a life changing decision so make sure u r ready...good luck...
