Is it posible to be tight -last fill was 5 months ago

Recommended Posts

My last fill was in Oct. Up untill Jan things have been slow but gradually losing- then I felt no restriction, I could eat more and wasnt losing. All of a sudden 1.5weeks ago I got tighter- I thought it was due to stress, but not stressed out anymore.. I eat less than before because of this and the scale hasnt budged since Jan- stuck at 30lbs. Which I am not to concerned about ( i seem to lose a pound or 2 then stop and lose inches)

Any takes on this?

No PB'ing, no acid reflex, .. am at Curves 3x week, and on treadmill 20 minutes the other days, drinking Water. Not TOM, not sick.

Added note: Today I ate normally-bandster normal that is-LOL

Also I tried on a pair of flannel jammie shorts- never able to wear- to tight in abdomen, butt hips. TODAY: BAGGY!!!

And a T-shirt my mom got me from her Alaskan Cruise last yr- to snug- today BAGGY!!!!!:faint:

Any ideas about this- someone on another board suggested I may have Band slip-

Yes.

and no, don't automatically think you have a slip. Weird things happen. If you are eating less, not PBing, with the same fill you've had for so long, don't complain, it's awesome! I've recently realized not to worry so much until you really have reason to, and even then, it's probably not as bad as you're making it out to be. Every day I could eat more than the last, I thought about a slip, because of what I read on here.

You pants are getting too big? Cry me a river. :) I laugh when I hear myself complain about that. I got a shirt and jacket at Xmas, that I don't think I'll ever wear because they're already too big, and will be worse by the time its warm enough to wear them!

Really though... take it. You're not in pain, or anything else. Maybe you'll be someone who weighs 190lbs but wears a size 4.... who cares?! Right!? Enjoy it :)

First of all....Mandi, 4 am????? Go to bed girl!!!

Secondly.....Good advice. Like Mandi says, enjoy the ride. The band is weird and finicky, and I am the worst person to be impatient nd think something is wrong. Like Mandi says, if your not in pain and your feeling and looking good, enjoy it, coast a while and check in with yourself in a month from now to re-evaluate. Good for you with Curves BTW!!!

Thank you both..... I feel better already- I had No pain or anything so I will just monitor it and see how it goes. Had a feeling that nothing is really wrong just the band is being "fickle", but I guess its not a bad thing..really..only if the scale would move!!!LOLOL

Thanks again Amanda and Chloe

Robyn,

Mandi and Argon are right, the band is a pretty sturdy things and usually we worry for nothing. But it is possible that with everything going peachy the band can self tighten, you may not feel you are stressed but something within the body can change. It is a fickle thing.

My body did the same thing when I reached the end of my losing streak and it still does it once in a while.. skirts that I bought in August are all big in the waist now and I haven't lost weight, my body shape changed yet again. If you are seriously worried don't fret, call the clinic and get some relief and enjoy the baggy pants.. Celebrate the little victories.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
