leowife92 0 Posted June 14, 2013 Hi my name is James' date=' I had my operation on 28 May 2013. So far have lost 14lbs or around 6 kg in Australian terms. I'm feeling great had some problems with whining about restrictions about an hour after two weeks I'm starting to eat soft foods in Sample scrambled egg and finally feeling restriction. Anyone else had this problem where they didn't feel restriction on the mushy pureed foods and how are you going?[/quote'] I am having the same problem. Staying hungry! renjames 30 Posted June 14, 2013 I feel the same way! My surgery was May 28th also. How many times are you eating a day? I'm on purée now and I think I'm eating too much. I finally quit weighing because I was getting so upset. Hi. I had my op on the 28th also and yes I felt it didn't feel like anything was done. BUT I had my first bit of solid food ( two scrambled eggs ) and could only really eat two thirds of one and then felt the restriction. Was 113 jgs on the day of the op today I'm 105.9 I'm started walking yesterday and will walk every day for 30 to 45 mins. I hand a revision from sleeve to bypass. If I can just loose 1.5kgs a week I will be happy. My first goal was 9 KGS in the first month and lost 7 so far so I'm a little ahead of time. Keep in there and just go with what your body tells you. mijpow 28 Posted June 14, 2013 had surgery May 21(Tuesday), was home on Thursday and mowing my yard on Friday, lol. I felt good. started to eat solid food by week 2. I just eat real slow, has a couple of times that I ate fast and it felt like someone hit me in the back between my shoulder blades. as far as hunger pains, I have none, because food does not taste good. I enjoy fruit, but as solid food goes, I have no craving for anything. I just eat something because I know I need too. had a 4oz. hamburger patty last night and ate it slow. FYI on weighing everyday, it was funny the first week, I could take a nap and wake up and weigh and I would lose 2lbs. but after week 2, I started to weigh on Tuesday and Fridays, never weigh on the weekend. I finally quit weighing because I was getting so upset. Hi leowife92 How you doing now ? Do you still feel as though you eating too much? My weight has started to come off now, really need to stop weighing myself everyday though. I am supposed to eat 6 small meals a day and at least two litres of fluids. Trying to space it out is a bit of a nightmare though as not supposed to drink half hour before and half hour after meals! That is quite difficult for me as always had a can of diet coke or a cup of tea/coffee on the go!
Dawnolson 85 Posted June 16, 2013 My surgery was May 17 and I'm stalled all last week and still today!! Anyone else stall yet? If so what did you do to get the weight rolling again?

I stalled last week and tried my best not to freak out. I continued to work out but increased my Water intake just in case it was water weight because since being put on soft foods I have struggled with my water. It seemed to help because now I've lost 5 lbs. My surgery was May 20th. Hopes this helps.

This is going on week two of being stalled. I feel like I'm never going to loose at this rate!

My brother died Friday and everything is turned upside down now. I don't feel like I have any restrictions, I can eat anything. I ate about a cup of enchilada CASEROLE yesterday and didn't feel full but made myself stop eating. I'm probably eating about 6 small meals a day. We're going to eat Mexican food tonight and I will have bean Soup I guess??
tracik 62 Posted June 19, 2013 Is anyone else still getting tired every day? My surgery was May 28, but I cannot go an entire day without being exhausted (and I am not doing anything!) I can only eat 2-3 bites of food each meal and am not hungry at all, so I have to force myself to eat,so I am no where close to getting the required Protein, just wondering if that is affecting my energy levels. I only have one week of leave off and was hoping I would have more energy at this point. There is no way I could go back to work now. I would need to bring a cot to work with me for a mid afternoon nap!

If you are having a hard time getting it through food then maybe you could do Protein Powder with some kind of liquid. Plus protein helps your body heal quickly which might make you feel better. Hopes this helps and hang in there it does get better.

I get water and protein at the same time. Adds about 21 grams to my day.

I too was tired after both operations, and one thing I found was I didn't get enough fresh air and Vitamin D. So every morning while the air is cleaner from the dew settling down any impurities in the air I go for a good walk in the sun, refreshing and gets natural Vitamin D from the sun. I would also go back to your doctor, and get a blood test on your nutrient levels, this also may shed some light on how to boost your system. The other thing to rememberis, your body has gone through a deep shock, and is simply saying to you HEY I need your energy at the moment for healing powers, so don't waste it on other things. The body is smart that way so dont under estimate it. listen to it. Give yourself a break, enjoy the time to relax. I hope this has helped in some way.
