Chapstick #1!

Some form of entertainment.(book/tablet/computer)

Slip on shoes, or socks to walk around in. (although some hospitals provide these)

Pillow (hospital beds are the devil)

Phone/charger

Loose clothing to go home in.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Lol

I took baby wipes to freshen up. You sweat a lot from the pain meds. At least I did, woke up with a soaking wet bed. Ewww.

Chapstick definately.

I took my own toiletries for when I showered.

I took my kindle, but never used it. Just wanted to rest between walks.

I had a list of stuff I was gonna take; pjs, book, robe, etc. I'm glad I didn't waste anytime with all that. Didn't need any of it.

Robe

Chapstick

Phone charger

Crystal light

Loose clothes to wear home

Definitely bring Shampoo and conditioner

Pillow from home/throw blanket (that I sleep with every night)

This is all I used. I wouldn't worry about a bunch of extras.

Good question, great answers! I would've never thought to bring a chapstik.

Because they don't let you drink after surgery you mouth and lips are so dry they are cracking. It was the worst feeling.

Chapstick

Cell phone and charger

I wore a loose dress there and wore it back home.

Personal hygiene products

Tablet w/ charger (some people don't use them in the hospital but I'm a techie so I HAD to have mine)

If you're journaling your journey make sure you bring your journal to write down you feelings as they happen

Listerine breath strips... I was in ketosis by surgery day so my breath needed lots of help

A pillow. Not only for sleeping on but also as a shield against the seatbelt on the ride home

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
