Tattoo's and Weight Loss

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys & Gals ;)

Has anyone had any issues with their tattoos appearance after weight loss? I only have four, three are on my legs...just wondering if they will look funny.

My tattoos are looking good. I think they even look better with my legs getting smaller. My only regret is not getting my other foot done before surgery. My feet are boney now and I think it actually will hurt a little when I get it done. Lol.

I've been looking for an answer to the same question. I have one tattoo on my lower leg.

One person I asked, said it was like a shrinky-dink It shrank with the leg. And I was like, that's pretty cool. But another person said her's looks awful, I bet it is like loose skin, it depends on a bunch of different factors.

I totally agree with you. I've heard the same thing and decided I'd just have to wait and see what happens. I still have about 70 pounds to lose so who knows what they will look like then. I think why mine looks good now is cause where my tattoos are located I didn't have a problem with a lot of fat in that area. Some but not a lot.

Hi Heather! Was looking at you ticker, and we were about the same starting weight. I am always looking to compare my HW and see where it is possible I will be in the future. You have lost 94 lbs in alittle over 5 months if I did the math right??? That is super awesome! Hope I can reach that goal! Great job!

I hope they still look good so we don't have to be re-tatted. Lol. Tho the loose skin would b an issue, I'm still at the beginning of losing too so I guess time will tell

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
