So I finally got my date for RNY-- June 5th! Yay! Butttt... All of my coworkers have the flu-- and I mean BADLY. None of them will stay home so it's slowly working its way through the office. I'm afraid I'll get it right before surgery. My office mate (who sits less than two feet from me, of course) has it the worst. She said her fever was 102 last night and she sounds/looks just awful. How can I politely say that I realllly don't need to get sick right now and maybe if she's THAT sick, she should stay home... Ugh.

You're too polite. I would have busted out my hand sanitizer and Lysol as she was talking to me lol I don't think there is anything wrong with telling someone they should have stayed home. It's better for them because they need to rest and better for everyone because who wants an office full of sick people just because one person decided not to call in :)

I HATE calling in sick but I did it today. I'm really bad about going in sick but I realized that no one else needs my germs. My little sister got me sick and there is no need to inflict it on others. I really do hate using a sick day since I will nearly wipe them out with my surgery. I don't know what I will do for the rest of the year if I get sick.

About the Lysol- I really did have a coworker spray me with Lysol once. I really needed to not be there but at that job I had no sick days (it was a get me though college job) and needed the paycheck. She sprayed everything I touched and even sprayed my clothes -she was just messing with me. Anyone who has ever worked in daycare can relate- at that job I stayed sick more often than not.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
