jerz 251 Posted May 6, 2013 Has anyone had open surgery? I have a lawsuit pending with my surgeon so asking him is out of the question. About scar tissue, when I'm laying on my back and sit straight up, I get sharp pains under the incision site and laying on my left side hurts the scar (scar tissue?) as well. Is this normal? Also have any ladies had open surgery and had any babies post op? I worry that since the scar tissue is still hurting that as I get further along, the baby will be up against the scar tissue. I would give anything or a surprise! I just hope of it does happen its a boy. Lol No it's not bad. I wanted another baby too and tried for 13 years before the surgery. I just wish I was further along postop. I'm not used to my pouch yet so throwing up from morning sickness with a brand new tiny pouch while trying to get in enough nutrients to sustain a growing life is real hard. I can't really exercise because I need to hold on to the little calories that I manage to consume. Can't buy new clothes cuz belly is gonna get bigger. Don't think I'm not grateful because I really feel blessed, I just wish it could've happened at least a year-18 mos postop. I say you should wait at least a year before trying to conceive. Im praying it happens at the end of year one. Were u fertile beforehand? Or did u have any issues with fertility? I have a 14 year old but after him I was unable to get pregnant again until now. I tried clomid and femara and was going to try ivf before I decided to get RNY. For some women I guess it resets your reproductive system as well because omg, I didn't expect this at all!
