charlottesweb91 0 Posted February 23, 2007 The final straw for me was this: I got married, and after my wedding pictures came back, I refused to buy any or allow anyone to see them. I was that ashamed of the way I looked.
Lee4love1 0 Posted February 23, 2007 I can just look in the mirror at the store and know--then know why my lap band is less than 3 weeks away....
Floridacocoon 0 Posted January 13, 2010 Wow, some things said in this thread really hit home to me as well. I think people like me as I am generally a positive person, but I'm sick to death of being the "safe" girl to be around because my weight makes me non-threatening to men's significant others! I don't intend to be a homewrecker ever, but I'd like to be trusted because of my good character, not because my fatness takes me completely out of the game. I run away from cameras and old friends, too! My knees and back hurt and I'm tired all the time. And I'd love to wear heels again some day and not be in severe pain and look like a pig on stilts. ENOUGH.
Devana 0 Posted January 18, 2010 Interesting going over this thread. A lot of old friends gone........ I had all the usual reasons for getting it done, but the deciding factor for me was watching a documentary about obesity and hearing the statistic that of all the people that lose substantial amounts of weight, only 4% will keep that weight off. I just knew I would never be one of that 4%. I had already lost and regained much weight a couple of times and I knew I needed extra help.
