countrygirl 84 Posted July 4, 2013 I am NOT looking forward to the saggy skin either. I just hope that I will look decent enough to feel comfortable in clothing! I definitely don't think that this surgery will boost my confidence about my body' date=' but I am not doing it for looks. This is for my health, my life, ME, not the visual pleasure of anyone else [/quote'] I FEEL the same way its soon to be my turn at being healthy for once.. Tina727 48 Posted July 17, 2013 I had the RNY when I was 22. I lost 175 lbs. I ended up getting a Tummy Tuck 5 years later because I tried everything under the sun to get a tight stomach. Believe me' date=' no amount of creams or sit ups will get rid of saggy skin. Period.[/quote'] Is a tummy tuck the same as Excess skin removal that usually takes place after bariatric surgery? Do you have a bad scar? How was the pain level? Recovery time? Also did insurance cover it? What does something like that run?

DoubleD 9 Posted July 24, 2013 Kirsty3k hope all is well. I just wanted to ask you, how are you maintaining your weight loss? You have done an awesome job. I started out at 360 and I can't seem to get out of the 2's. I weigh now 202. My date was 2-2-12. Did your weight loss end up slowing down? Are sticking to getting the Protein in, exercising, and eating right????? I just don't think I will ever see a 100 anything.

I still log everything that goes in my mouth in my fitness pal... Religiously. I also record my physical activity on an app called endomondo... The key to this whole thing is to keep track of what you are eating. You know as well as I do that you can eat more now and can eat more things. Carbs are the devil and yes I still focus on Protein. Try and get between. 75 - 90 grams a day and I usually average around 1100 calories. I'm happy where I am right now. I bounce between 147 and 151. I feel healthy. I feel like I look good and just generally feel like this is a good weight for my height. With that being said.. I do that dreaded weigh myself everyday thing and if I'm up at all I work really hard the next day to get back on track. Because 1 lb is easier to lose then 193. My son said the other day to me... Mom you look fine. When the scale gets up to 170 then worry about it... I just won't let myself get to that point ever again. The weight loss did slow... And yes I did worry that it wouldn't come off but I stuck to the program and have worked my butt off for every pound! You can do this .. You are a success story. Each and every one of us are success stories. Hang in there the one's are right around the corner 1 deaddemmama reacted to this

My boobs, were never great, but at least they didn't lay flat on my chest! after losing only 40 pounds, I went from a 44 D to a 38 C, and a freaking sagging "C"at that! I can't stand to even look at them myself anymore, let alone allow my husband! anyone think my insurance will cover that surgery?!
