kinggrichard 7 Posted May 3, 2013 So, I am just waiting for insurance. I am done with my weight loss trial and stuff. I was told today there are plenty of June appointments left... Ah! I am so excited!!! Any thoughts or suggestions on preparation for hospital stay and when I first get home?
SoccerMomma73 1,867 Posted May 3, 2013 Walk sleep drink, repeat, oh, take drugs as needed!! Really make sure you have plenty of Clear liquids, plenty of your chosen Protein. Believe it or not, it just all falls into place HW 312, pre-op (lap-band) 294, pre-op (RNY) 255, surgery date 2/11/13, goal weight 154, current weight 220.
Sparklette 381 Posted May 3, 2013 At the hospital the only thing I needed was chap stick and entertainment. Honestly. A pillow from home might have been nice, the stupid hospital bed made my back hurt. For home, Like SoccarMamma said, liquid, and Protein. some slip on shoes, if you intend on walking outside. Find a place where you can be comfortable, I couldn't sleep in my bed for the first couple of days, it was difficult to get in and even worse to get out. And it's true, everything does kinda fall in to place. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

A heating pack but for me it helps most on my back and Protein drinks
