I have my surgery scheduled for July 15!

I'm very excited and relieved to be moving along to this next step. I have KAISER insurance and there were a lot of hoops to jump through to get where I am.

I wish my surgery could have been scheduled for sooner but I've gotta take what I can get. So 72 days! That's a long time. Any ideas of things I can do to make the time go quicker? I'm thinking a new exercise routine (swimming?) and new recipes. Any ideas!

That time will go by in a breeze, I promise! Taking up swimming is a great idea!

When I was waiting the last couple months before my surgery, I spent more time on here, getting info and what not. And took it day by day. It'll be here before you know it.

Thanks for the positive support! I hope it goes quickly! In some ways the last seven months have gone fast and other ways unbearably slow. I'm thinking of coming up with some goals for the next few months to help keep me on track and focused on the finish line.

Is there anything you wished you'd done before surgery? Any supplies you'd wished you'd purchased? Looking for some goal inspiration ????

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
