Yes...according to my doctor. It is also triggered my rapid weight loss.

Well, I don't think I am having rapid weight loss at this point, but I would sure love to have a little of that.

Today, the eating is not quite as bad. I don't know if its just something that I have to get used to with the new pouch.

Thanks. The depression right now is just thru the roof. I've pretty much been sick since my surgery on 6/6 and the recovery from the second surgery on 7/1 has been slower than slow. I've only lost like 18-20 lbs. I can hardly eat. Nothing tastes right. I'm always exhausted. I've had awful pain. Dizzy which I'm sure is from not eating. The Protein Shakes are turning my stomach. I've already missed two weeks worth of work I haven't planned on and I'm financially drained and have no help. I've cried every day and I don't want to do anything but sleep. It's no wonder. I failed at every attempt my entire life to get my weight under control and it seems like this is just going to be another failure.

While I haven't had as many set backs in the almost 2weeks post op I know how it feels to have a crap storm of things happen to the point you feel like you can't breath! Since the surgery I too have hit a bit of depression at as if you have this surgery & realistically & logically you know it will be a lot of work & process but there is a part if you that hopes...more than hope; pray this is the solution...then days pass, complications happen. Heck life happens & you feel hopeless...my suggestion is for every negative find a positive, for every punch in gut tell fate it hits like a girl & keep it moving! Keep working the program, call a friend & ask if they want to go for a walk, get out of that house because all you will do is think & worry, & cry... I noticed my depression eased when I got out the house...I went for a walk, I called up some family to just hang out with! Socializing help...if no one is available is there a support group in the area that you can go to? Where are you? Are you in NC...I thought you were close...if so want to meet up for a walk? You have support, you're not a failure, just got to fight a little harder Chica!!

I'm getting pains there when I move, yawn, breathe deeply, or laugh.

I would talk to my doctor.

I think mine is from having the second surgery on Monday. They had to really wiggle around in there a lot, plus blew me up with gas again. Regardless I'm calling them tomorrow anyway because going from soft food back to liquid I am EXHAUSTED. I get so wiped out and dizzy.

I understand completely. I chocked on one of my medications and I was so swollen for days I had to revert back to liquids because I couldn't swallow soft foods. OMG! Makes you feel like you're going backwards. Hang in there. My doc said no Protein Shakes, but I started them anyways. I was getting so dizzy I nearly passed out.

I literally was getting hot and dizzy just from making a smoothie and then cleaning out my blender! I feel like taking a shower requires an hour long nap afterwards. This. Is. Awful.

Talked to the PA at my surgeons office. They want me to up my fluids and start drinking things with some calories - like V8 or regular Gatorade. I pretty much haven't eaten in 5 weeks and they said my body is just really beat up right now and needs a lot of help. Said that if I'm a little dehydrated its probably why things don't taste right as well as why I'm tired, hot, dizzy thru out the day. They moved me appointment up from next week to this Friday and said to call them if anything else changes in the meantime.

For those of you that use it, is anyone having trouble with myfitnesspal app? Mine just won't sync. I got it to work last night after an hour of trying and now I'm back to the same problem this afternoon. It won't even leave the first screen. It just says synchronizing data.

Oh thank god. I don't have Facebook and they didn't put anything on the app to say they were having issues. I thought I was going crazy. Lol

Thanks. Hoping like heck that upping my Water and calories gives me some energy so I can get back to work and back to my routine.

Also noticed the dreaded pill I had get stuck that started this mess I've been very non compliant with since. Probably a bad move since its Welbutrin for my already raging anxiety/depression and now I have this whole mess going on.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
