IChatman 24 Posted April 27, 2013 How far after surgery did the scale start to move. I was discharged on Thursday and just now weighing my self today and I have gained a pound
Marisela 104 Posted April 27, 2013 By the time I got home from the hospital I had lost 13 lbs... Be patient, it will start moving... don't forget to sip all day, I used to set up a timer every 10 min so I wouldn't forget to sip!
IChatman 24 Posted April 27, 2013 Ok.because getting in the scale and not seeing a difference was Bit discouraging. I mean I know I was stolen but dang
Tiggy 14 Posted April 27, 2013 When I got home from surgery, I'd "gained" 9 lbs - all from Fluid they'd pumped into me during my stay. Fortunately, my doc's office had warned me about it, but it still wasn't fun having to "re-lose" the weight I'd worked so hard to lose via my pre-op liquid diet. The excess fluid did come off, it just took its sweet ole time in doing so. 2 sunshine413 and nienie reacted to this
IChatman 24 Posted April 28, 2013 When you say it took its sweet ole time, about how long was that. how soon did you began vigorous walking
Cherry 71 Posted April 28, 2013 My hospital stay was 3 days. I came home weighing 4 more lbs than when I went in. I stayed OFF the scale for the next 4 days. On the 5th day, I had lost those 4 lbs plus 3 more. I am post op 10 days and have lost 8lbs (plus the 4 of fluid). I refuse to get on the scale each day though. That's torture. Tiggy 14 Posted April 28, 2013 When you say it took its sweet ole time, about how long was that. how soon did you began vigorous walking It's hard to tell - took me about a week to get down to the weight I was when I entered the hospital. I have not yet begun vigorous walking, still on casual walking but for longer distances (e.g. 3000+ steps yesterday).
kjrny2013 33 Posted April 28, 2013 I too gained in the hospital, 7 stinking lbs. But when I went for my one week check up I lost that 7 plus 5 more. So I was actually only 5 less than my day of surgery weight. Still being 3 weeks 4 days out today, I am only down another 10 lbs. Seems to me to be slow. But they say slow and steady wins the race. And I will win this time!!!!! 2 Cherry and YoColeFleet reacted to this
