alc1071 43 Posted April 27, 2013 I'm 4 weeks post op and have been making lemonade (with Splenda instead of sugar) and have not had any issues with it.
kraney 219 Posted April 27, 2013 I'm 6 weeks out and drink tea with lemon juice added, as well as Water with lemons. I can't imagine it would be that bad for you since most doctors say add crystal light, etc.
Nel 189 Posted April 27, 2013 I eat fish with lemon and add lemon slices to my Water. No issues. You need to make sure you deseed it though. One lemon seed and you'd be sorry, I imagine. That's my fear. I use my slicer and inspect each one before it goes on or in anything. I'm 27 days out.

handrene 5 Posted April 28, 2013 I find with chicken and fish I try to chew it so carefully and then I don't feel like swallowing.. I worried that I am not getting enough Protein because I don't like most protein powders. They actually make me want to vomit..
LeticiaHuggins 177 Posted April 28, 2013 I'm taking acid meds right now that they give you after surgery... I wonder how the lemon would affect the stomach. Doesn't lemon have a lot of acid in it? ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221**34 days post op.
