Thank you so much' date=' I am ready for my new start.[/quote']

I have read a lot and apparently there is shrinkage of the fatty tissue so it definitely is beneficial. I am not liking the liquid diet I have cheated several times but made sure it is healthy Proteins And only small portions 1 time a day for satiety. It seems to be really helping and I'm loosing weight already getting into smaller sizes. Surgery is officially a week away on the 30th and I'm spiked but scared about the ability to find likable maintainable foods postop. I have such a varied pallet now that I'm nervous as to the changes that may occur later

My surgery went well on 4/23/13, I went home yesterday, still really sore and tired. I am walking and taking in Clear Liquids, not a lot but enough they said. My pouch likes Jello and Popsicles

The surgeon found a Hernia he had to surgically repair, and a lot of scar tissue they had to remove, he said it was really 3 surgeries he gad to do, so now I know why I'm sore. I haven't had any problems with nausea at all Thank Goodness.

Thanks Rem, yes as long as you keep fluids down and passing urine as well as walking you can go home. They had some issues with my Blood Pressure being low and my Blood Sugar being high after surgery, but they seen to have stabled out now. I am really sore, but glad to be home.

Thank you honey, no regrets here. I'll take it a day at a time like my surgeon says. Good luck to you all, they really keep a close eye in you and only let you go if everything checks out ok.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
