Where does the four cheat days come in? I started my 4 week Optifast diet on Apr 20 and my dietitian did not say anything about cheat days?

Well really ita not a cheat day because u can't pig out but u do have to still drink four shakes but replace the other with a lean cuisine.

Okay... So day 2 of the liquid diet. This is way more about my head than hunger at this point. It's about control and poor coping skills. Am I alone, or is anyone else feeling like a big ball of emotions? :(

Its day two for me as well...and im struggling....im emotional! We will get through this

I'm on day 12 and it does get easier. Stay focused on the goal. The more your organs shrink the better the surgeon can perform. I chew on straws to help

Its day two for me as well...and im struggling....im emotional! We will get through this

I'm on day 9 of a 14 day Optifast pre-op diet..I had wicked bad headaches up to day 5 plus being sleepy and kinda moody. Once my body got over the caffeine withdrawal I started to feel better! So just hang on it does get better!

I am on day 4 of my 4 week Optifast diet. Today was a little better than yesterday I hope the trend continues. I been trying to get the energy to exercise more. So far I have walked a mile on Saturday and Sunday. I am really trying to get in a 3 rd day this week to work my way up to five days. How are you guys doing with the exercise?

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
