Lady grace 1 Posted April 17, 2013 My RNY was 1/29/13 my wt loss was great at first then hAd a 5 week stall. Now my wt is loss is only 1 to 1.5 lbs. I'm scared this will slow more and stop before my goal. Has anyone else gone through this? I do keep a diary of my food and Protein levels. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Expat 27 Posted April 21, 2013 Stalls are common and expected. I am 7+ months post op and go thru weeks long stalls then hit a loosing period where I drop for a couple weeks then back to a stall. My Dr. Says its a way for the body to not be shocked by loosing too much weight at once. Ie... When I first started loosing and droped 15 lbs in 2 weeks it was less 4% of my body weight, not too much of a shock. Now if i were to lose 15 lbs in 2 weeks it would be 8% percent of my body weight, way too much of a shock to the body. I've been doing pretty good. 3 weeks ago no weight loss 2 weeks ago 1.5 lbs, this week I gained, that's right, gained 2 lbs!!!! I do everything I'm supposed to. I'm very discouraged.
