JustJenn 542 Posted April 16, 2013 So I'm struggling with now fitting into a size 18 pants. It was unreal to be 24 then 22 then omg when I hit 20. But man oh man I can only say I feel unworthy to be an 18. I can honestly say I don't remember when I was a size 18. I was a 20-24 through high school and it only got worse out of school (eventually being a 28-30). So maybe middle school!!! Middle school!!!! I'm now 29! My husband is all for my change and tells me to wear my new "size 18's" I refuse and want to hide in my 20's. I know I should be loving this transition but I'm struggling. I think I've loved the shrinking me up until now. I'm just like wow. I'm out of a size with a 2 in front. This is all in my head. Just looking for some feedback. .::SurgeryDate 7/25/12::. kisersassy 369 Posted April 16, 2013 It is hard to adjust. I am wearing size 12-14's. I hold them up and say I can't fit into those!!! Our brains just need to catch up!! 1 crazedteacher reacted to this

sottocat1 4 Posted April 16, 2013 Congratulations! It is so wonderful to see the pant sizes dropping. I had my surgery 7 weeks ago and have went from a 18 to a 12. It still seems so unreal! But, two years ago I wore a 24. I went through a divorce and lost down to a size 18. But, that's where I stayed for almost 2 years until I had surgery. I honestly believe I will always think of myself as the girl in the size 24 pants no matter what. It is a hard journey but so worth it!!!
JustJenn 542 Posted April 16, 2013 Thank you everyone! I'm afraid I will always see the fat girl in the mirror. Funny, I do the same thing I hold up clothing and say these wont fit and vuala! They do! Just looking for some head relief. Will I ever not feel like the fat girl?! My mom years post op and post skin removal and she looks fabulous and she says she stills fat girl in the mirror. I'm just hoping I can wear smaller cloths and feel like okay.... I got this! Ugh, such a process! .::SurgeryDate 7/25/12::.
vbgirl264 28 Posted April 16, 2013 I know how you feel! I had surgery in January and before surgery i was in size 22 pants and 3xl shirts! I went shopping yesterday and i was able to get into a size 14 jean and they are a lil baggy and an XL shirt ( both at old navy). It's almost unreal that I'm in sizes I wore in high school. I still don't feel like I've lost weight thou. I look at myself and still still an almost 300 pound 22 year old but in reality I'm 205 pounds now!

shyanne 198 Posted April 17, 2013 Wow I relate sooo much :-D I was squeezing in to a 28 a little over a year ago... I'd actually buy 28s with stretch just so I didn't have to actually buy a 30 that I really should have been in. And even days like to day I'm driving in to work and can't BELIVE I'm wearing a 16 today o_O and I got to thinking and for sure the last time I was a 16 was in jr high. I still try and grab a larger size... Stand in the fitting room trying to figure out why it's not fitting correctly lol cus it's too big!!! I'll grab the smaller sizes and think.... Wait that's waaaay to little. And it fits o_O it's been a big struggle of mine seeing the new me. But we'll get there :-D
