Ok I'm just going to post this in here. Who is a slow loser and what is slow to you? I'm asking coz I'm a sleeve to Rny come June coz I no matter how much I workout and how little I eat I don't loss weight. In my 6 1/2 months with the sleeve I lost 35lbs. The 35lbs was lost in the first 3 months nothing after. I live off 800-1000 cals a day easy workout 5 days a week. So I'm kind of wanting to find ppl that just could not loss weight no matter how hard they tried before they got the Rny and have lost weight. Any help here would be good I'm so worried about doing this all over again and it still not work.

I had Rny 2/14 and starting weight was 217, and as of last Friday 191. That is 26lbs in 2 months which is slow!!! My surgery was open with over a 6 inch incision and 5 small incisions in a failed attempted of laparoscopic due to old scar tissue. I have dieted for over 6 yrs with minimal loss so this was it for me at 45 yrs old. I was a slow to get exercising but have started vigorously and increased Protein. I have to work hard for every pound loss even with the surgery, but it is coming off with 800-1000 cal I do a day and at least 70g Protein.

Surgery 2/14-217 , CW 191 GW 140

I'm a slow loser too :( I'm 1 yr. post op. started at 216 and I am 163 now. My goal is 140 and it seems like I will never make it. I stick to my surgeon's diet plan, exercise like crazy, jog, walk, run, incline 7 days a week for 1+hours. I also have thyroid issues, I had m thyroid removed 20 years ago and on hormone replacement. I don't know whether that has anything to do with it. I'm a bit frustrated at this point but I cannot eat nearly as much as I did pre-op though.

By looking at you, it doesn't appear that u have that much to lose. Smaller person, less calories required for daily activities. So basically if ur wobbling around like a meatball with legs (as I was a few short months ago) ur loss rate will be higher! Be glad ur not in that position!! I too had a failed sleeve from 2007 that I paid cash for in Mexico!!! Can you say desperate?!? I regained all but 40 lbs prior to the RNY! Good luck : )

Yeah same here I thought the sleeve was best but I was wrong so here's to take two for me rather do it now then sit and maybe put on all I have lost then do it. I was self pay for the sleeve 25k I'll be self pay for the Rny but it will get done. I don't think I would have thought about doing it if it was not for All of the countless test I've had done to figure out what the reason was in the 1st Place to why I stoped loosing weight after 3months out :(. It's nice to know I'm not The only failed sleeve :)

Although I lost 32 pounds in the first 3 weeks (I think due to nausea making me unable to tolerate shares & horrendous diarrhea), I've slowed to 1-2 pounds a week. I exercise everyday. Trying to stay positive. I can see that I'm toning, and I'm moving easier.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
