Prayer Request

Good Morning Everyone, Could I please put in a prayer request for my daughter. I just returned yesterday from West Texas. The doctors did six bands around her vessels and a liver stent in hopes of no ruptures. She has liver failure. They have done all they can do for her. She is in a rehabilatation hospital now trying to get her strength back. This is my child that got hooked on drugs and later on pain pills and liquor and has ruined her liver plus she is bi-polar. A very beautiful and sweet person to have never been able to get a hold on life. I turned this over to God a long time ago when I finally woke up and knew Mom could'nt fix this problem. I just ask that you say a little prayer for her and pray for me to have the strength to get thru it all. Thanks so very much.

SallyJo - you and your daughter are in my thoughts and prayers. It is most difficult when as a Mom we cannot cure and fix our children. I am glad that you have accepted that part of the situation. It is never easy. I am confident you will find the strength to see this through.

Restore our judges and Leaders as of yore, and our counselors as in the beginning, and remove from us grief and sighing. Reign over us, O Lord, in loving-kindness, mercy, and justice. You are the Source of Blessing, O Lord, the King who loves righteousness and justice.

may your daughter find her life , her self , and health

I keep praying for you

SallyJo:

I am keeping you and your daughter in my prayers. All of us are precious, fragile human beings. I especially pray that her liver and vital organs are functional again, so that she can have another chance at living.

Sending my love to you both,

Sallyjo, This must be so hard, I will agree with you in prayer for her return to good health. I pray Father God that your great mercy

and compassion would restore this dear one to health so that she would have a powerful testimony to share with so many others that have bondages to drugs. Give her your life and power to move into the purposes you designed her to fulfill, and create in her a new heart and make her a bold warrior for your kingdom. Please Lord, bless this mom with stregnth and peace as this time moves forward, we know you love them both for they are your children. In Jesus name we pray, Amen

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
