New Dr. Billy patient

Recommended Posts

I've seen Penni's posts regarding how cute Dr. Billy is and I must say I agree!!! I am getting surgery done by him on 8/31. I'm nervous but I think he is really good and being cute does not hurt either!!!!!! So soon I shall to have the pleasure of being stuck by Dr. Billy, I'll let you know how he is!!! Hopefully as good as Penni says!

There are so many avenues I could go with this. LOL!!!!!

I am sorry I will be out of town I would come and hold your hand. Which hospital are you going to have your surgery with him?

Hi,

I will be at Community Memorial Hospital, across the street from his office. Since I'm self pay they have a package rate I'm doing. The upside is I get free fills for life.

I had my port revision at the outpatient clinic of that hospital. Was treated very well. Very attentive and was very professional. Dr. Billy on top of being good looking he is very professional and proficient. And his bedside manner is so caring and supportive.

Where do you live in relation to Ventura? I am in Van Nuys, CA. I have my next appt with Dr. Billy on Sept 23.

Keep us posted.

I live in Montrose, it's north of Glendale against the Foothills. I'm so glad to have found another bandster in my area!! I am gone next week at a conference, I get back and a couple of days later I get my band. I feel like someone has hit fast forward!!! I am so glad it is finally here! I have had to jump through some hoops but am so glad I did. Dr. Billy is great as his support staff. I'll post again when I'm on the other side.

Debbie: Yes Dr. BIlly and his staff are soooooooooooo supportive. He encourages us to make sure we come back every 4 to 6 weeks and no more than that as he sees the best results with those visits. He really takes the time to explain things and gives you reasons why things are the way they are.

Please do keep us posted on how you are doing. If you want my home number then PM me and I will send it to you.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
