Today: bought size 18 jeans, size xl sweatpants from the regular side, and last night I took a bath for the first time in forever. I measured my hips and I've lost 20 inches.

Oh and I'm a big sports fan and I get to buy all new jerseys for each of my teams and now I wear a medium... I used to hate that the axis was on the outside for all the world to see... Now I love it

The smallest clothes I own are now too big for me. I went from having only two complete outfits in 2X that fit (barely) back in May, to 1X, to XL, to L (pant sizes going down from 22, 20, 18, 16, 14) - all of which I already owned due to an Optifast weight loss back in '09. I'm edging into unfamiliar territory - MEDIUMS!! And sz12's! From here on in it is all unfamiliar territory.

Now, whenever I buy a sz12, I also pick up a sz10. I'm even eyeing sz8's and smalls on clearance racks - is it possible I could get THAT small? :-)

Its "that" time of the month...I feel fat and bloated.....but....my "I feel fat pants" are now a 16 vs a 22/24.

Also....although tops were lasting longer because they aren't as fitted...most of mine are too big now. I don't have one jacket that is even passable.

I sure wish there was universal sizing.... I have clothes from a fourteen to a twenty, all fit well! All around the same size too, just different brands... Very frustrating when trying to purchase online.....

I agree! I hate this which is why I stick with only a couple brands. Usually Levis and Maurices.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
