How about some NSVs!?!?

Recommended Posts

Without realizing it I had my right leg up on the same chair I was sitting on. When I realized it I stared for several seconds. Can't tell you when I've been able to do that!

#1

I just came from the movie theatre and I didn't have to sit down at an angle to fit in the seat.

#2

I put on my bra and instead of using the last hooks I was able to go to the first set of hooks... (Almost time for bra shopping) so excited

I have become very aware and sensitive to people I am close to who still struggle with these issues. My brother and my best friend are both considerably overweight. When I'm out with either one of them I make an effort to ask for a table instead of a booth so they'll be more comfortable. I remember what it was like to not fit in a booth!

People don't get this. Everything I go out to eat with people, they want to sit in a booth, meanwhile in my head, I'm praying I'll fit!

I still think seeing people i hadn't seen in a while who didn't know who I wasmade me feel good. Also, nothing beat sitting in a roller coaster seat for the first time in years. I missed that so much!

1)I'm still plus size, but now i can shop at any place that has plus sizes, not just Avenue and Catherine's because they have aize 30/32.

2)went to a texas rangers game...and fit in the seat.

3) booths no longer flip me out.

4)slowly starting to be able to run.

I've had a few in the last couple of weeks

1. No more bra extender!

2. I am able to run! I ran 20 minutes straight on the treadmill without wanting to die.

3. This weekend I learned that I have sized out of the Plus Size selection at Forever 21 (My favorite store even though I'm 28, OH WELL!) I'm still too big for most of their "standard" sizes, but getting there.

4. Size 12 jeans I bought two years ago as a goal are now fitting me, but only for so much longer, there's a little room in them.

Congrats to everyone for their NSVs!!!

I haven't gone clothes shopping yet but I'm sure when I do I'll need a smaller size and can go to stores other than Lane Bryant. As of today I've lost 25 pounds!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
