SuzeMuze 338 Posted January 4, 2015 Mine's pretty simple but it made me smile... I got out of the shower this morning, and realized a regular sized towel fits all the way around me now
Mommabird 367 Posted January 4, 2015 This morning, while getting ready for church, my husband, all of the sudden, says "Wow! You have a butt! I've never seen you with a butt before!"
Luvin_Life125 558 Posted January 4, 2015 Hubby and I went out last night and I am still wearing the same jeans from preop. These jeans were extremely tight before surgery, but I still wore them. Well, when I went to the bathroom at the bar, I was able to pull my jeans down without unbuttoning them! I know they were getting pretty baggy, but I didn't think they were that bad. I guess it's time to get the smaller pants out of storage!
lauramae 26 Posted January 4, 2015 I shopped at Khols yesterday and bought size 24 jeans and before surgery I was only able to shop online. I started at 453 and now at 277.
Cupcake 801 Posted January 5, 2015 Walking into a clothing store and being told your too small for our clothes we only carry size 16-32 . Even though the body is shrinking the brain has to catch up .
1NaturalLoser 20 Posted January 5, 2015 My closet is full of clothes that I've collected over the past 10-12 years (don't judge ) ranging in size from 12-26. This morning I decided to try on some black dress pants that I've always loved and was amazed that they actually fit again. As a matter of fact, there was a lot of bagginess in the thigh area. Are you kidding me...they're a size 16!!! The pounds aren't coming off as quickly as I imagined but I'm still so grateful for victories like this one! Vabeachlady 37 Posted January 5, 2015 It's the little things that count! I can now: -cross my legs. Don't do it often because it doesn't feel natural yet. :-) -put on socks without being a contortionist to bring my feet up high enough to get then on, -bend over and tie my shoes! -walk up and down stairs instead of taking the elevator Might be a little TMI on this one, but I can wipe front to back now and haven't been able to do that in years. Finally feeling better after problems with dehydration and will start walking again. Life is getting better every day!

smiley922 447 Posted January 6, 2015 I went out New Years Eve and wore these heels, have not worn heels like this in 25 years. Danced all night and never had to go out to the car for my back up flats.
glitter eyes 1,398 Posted January 6, 2015 I have had multiple NSV's during this process. Some of favorites have been: 1. Crossing my legs again 2. Shopping in the "normal" section 3. Able to fit comfortably in a restaurant booth 4. Wearing heels/wedges 5. Having lots of energy 6. Working out without feeling out of breath or out of place 7. Walking all day at Disney and having tons of extra room on all the rides- going back next week and can't wait I am looking forward to many more and I love reading everyone's victories!! It is inspiring
teacherlady2133 258 Posted January 13, 2015 I can climb on desk and chairs to decorate my classroom without fear of breaking them.
BlackBanter 5 Posted January 18, 2015 I had to pull out all of my old smaller clothes from when I was a teenager because my clothes are falling off. I can fit in the student desk with the table attached to the front and it doesn't even come close to touching me. I think by April I will be ready to run with my friend my second 5K, and this time fully run it.

layknee 357 Posted January 21, 2015 My friend rolls her eyes at me when I tell her oh my God I can cross my legs almost all the way around I can almost cross and tuck my foot behind my ankle. She says it's like every fat girls thing that they say after they lose weight. She wants me to take her to my doctor because she wants the surgery this year and I'm a little bit and ambivalent about the whole thing. It's all the ups and downs I don't want to see her having complications of being in pain. Maybe it's jealousy jealousy, I don't want her to have the surgery because I don't want her to feel pain. It's sweet but selfish.
