renee 51 Posted January 6, 2014 I started this journey 6 months ago wearing a size 30 in jeans. I was in Old Navy and thought I would try on their largest size jeans they have in store, which happened to be a 20. I just wanted to see how long it would be before I could get into a pair of them. Not only did they fit, but I needed a size 18! I was jumping up and down in the changing room! Holy smokes! This is the first time I have shopped in the "normal" size stores since I was in my early 20's, and I'm now 38 years old! You couldn't wipe the smile off my face yesterday! Seriously, from a size 30 to a size 18 in 6 months. Unbelieveable 4 kraney, kparadisek, bloreorbust and 1 other reacted to this

It's hard to imagine, but in 4 months I have gone from a 34 to 26 pants, so maybe by 6 months I'll be in those 20s you put back :-)). 3 kraney, kparadisek and jaye1464 reacted to this

JeanaLuvsKisses 110 Posted January 7, 2014 I used to have to pull my seat belt out as far as it would go. If i had gained any more weight I would have needed an extender. Today ( six months post op and 110 lbs lost) I realized how much easier it is to buckle up and I have so much more length left to pull it across my chest. 3 kraney, cookier224 and kparadisek reacted to this
sassy14 178 Posted January 9, 2014 I had the funniest experience. My husband and I went to a holiday party Saturday that we have gone to for five years. We always go with the same couple and have a nice time. This time, I walked in with my friend as our husbands parked the car. I noticed the host--who is a friend of my husband's more than my friend--acted a little strange when I greeted her and kept looking at me strangely. I am used to that. Imagine my surprise today when my friend called and said that our host called her, very concerned. She asked when my husband had taken up with a new woman, who ironically had the same first name. When my friend assured her that there was no wife, just a slimmer one, she was stunned! I am still laughing! 4 kparadisek, kraney, zuzuspetal8 and 1 other reacted to this

terry1118 1,274 Posted January 9, 2014 I had to pack up my sz12's - I'm now comfortably in the 10's. I haven't seen sz10 since the year I was married (1982). And that's not the best part! The best part happened when I was trying on pants yesterday (I only have one sz10 and needed at least one more pair). One pair I had grabbed to try said sz10 on the hanger but actually turned out to be a sz8 - and it fit! A tad snug, but not too bad. I got them buttoned and zipped! You could've knocked me over with a feather!!!! I put them back - they sat too low on the hips for a woman my age - but DAMN! A SIZE 8!!!!! I never even DARED to dream I'd get that small! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) 6 mitzie46, kraney, cookier224 and 3 others reacted to this

UK-Molly 43 Posted January 12, 2014 A senior colleague absolutely made my day, he's been away very ill for a couple of months and we haven't seen each other. He popped in my office to say hi as he's hoping to return to work soon, it was so great to see him as I've been really worried about him but ,bless him, he kept telling me how good I looked and how much smaller I was... He even said I looked amazing.... So kind. I had surgery 2 months ago am down 57 lbs inc pre op diet and have only been back at work since christmas. I didn't think my weight loss showed much as, other than a couple of "wow you look well" comments no one else has said anything, especially the two other women I share an office with... My husband had thought this strange as he sees me every day and can't believe the difference but I just thought they hadn't noticed.. My clothes are hanging off me! Only my boss knows about the surgery, and has been very supportive and comment on my loss, the others just think I had a routine ladies op :-) 2 kraney and cookier224 reacted to this
kata13 56 Posted January 12, 2014 They may be afraid to say anything since they don't know what surgery you had. Some people are secretive when they have cancer surgery and when people see weight loss it's not always for the best.
