How about some NSVs!?!?

I was brushing my hair this morning and heard a metallic sound hit the floor. It was one of the rings on my fingers. Time for a trip to the jewelers.

I don't weigh myself often so most of my victories are NSV. Today was an incredible day for them. First of all, 2 pairs of jeans that were a little snug last WEEK are a bit loose this week, so I am officially down another size as of today.

Second, I wanted to take one of my dogs for a walk since it was such a gorgeous night. I was only going to go 2 miles, but when I got to the point where I was going to turn around I realized that I felt great, not tired, my legs were feeling strong and powerful, so I kept going. We ended up walking 5 miles, and towards the end I had to slow down because my dog was getting tired, but not me! I thought that was incredible.

Oh I forgot to mention I bought a pair of pants at gap last weekend and they fit perfectly. Today I wore them and they weren't huge but they were definitely loose. $65 not well spent. I think I can have them taken in. And because they fit so good I'm going to buy another pair a size down.

That's funny! Lol

I keep noticing my shoulders - they look downright petite if you don't look a little lower and notice the bat-wings! And is anyone else finding that some chairs are not as comfortable anymore? Evidently we have bones in our butts! Who knew? Lol

I hear you on the shoulders and the butt bones!!

That's been happening to me too! I have to remind myself that I enjoy going upstairs now, because I don't get all tired out!

I'm a size lower than I've been in almost two decades...and the other day I wore some new pants for the first time. I had to unbutton them to get them down to pee! Usually I just pull em straight down. I have a WAIST

1. Looking at the produce in grocery store which is next to the bakery, and having no desire to eat donuts and reaching for fruit & vegs with giddy anticipation.

2. Realizing I'm full when I've eaten only half of what I used to think of as a portion that was "too small"

3. Beginning to lose my taste for sweets

Even better is when that size which you thought you'd never be can be pulled down without undoing the button. ..lol

Going into uncharted size territory. I think I thought I was going to stop at size 16. But noooooo.... New pants are now loose! Weird.

I can now fit both hands down my pants half way up my forearm. I should probably train myself not to do this at work.

Had my 6 month check up... Doc said I looked fabulous and not to loose any more weight.... Or I might look tooo skinny! Wow! We agreed I would try and loose those last 15 over the next 6 months... If I look to skinny after that .. I guess I'll deal with it.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
