I thought I was crazy for always putting my fingers around the opposite wrist. Its weird and exciting to notice the skinny girl beginning to emerge.

Preop weight 389 current weight 314...that's 75 lbs lost since RNY 6/11/13

I do this all the time

I have a cape cod Bracelet that I always wear and I put my fingers between it and my wrist. Or push it up my arm until it gets stuck. That's how I measure. Lol.

For thirty five years my license has said '110 lbs'. No one ever told me to change it. No one ever noticed that I weighed more than double that. I don't think I'll ever see 110 again, but I'm hoping that if anyone ever does notice the weight on my license they'll look at me and think "maybe...". :-)

Pa license doesn't have weight...or at least not the last time I renewed it...10 years ago. Yes, I hate pictures of myself so much that I never went and got my pic taken for a new license 5 years ago. Been driving on an expired license :-/ I paid the money, just never took the camera card to the dmv. I've been pulled over a few times and cops never mentioned it was expired but when I tried to buy a 6 pack of hard lemonade, they wouldn't sell it to me with an expired license lol. I'm almost 40, geez.

Anyway, I'm pre op but just with the 22 pounds I've lost, my seat belt fits so much better so I have been wearing it again.

It's the little things....

My driver's license weight initially had the first two numbers transposed. I was 238 at the time, and they put 328 and didn't want to print a new one. I had this feeling like someday it would turn out to be true and I really would be that heavy. I was right. And then some. Can't wait til I need a new license now, though.

My NSV today was pulling my pants off without unbuttoning or unzipping them lol. Just a short time ago they were so uncomfortablely tight I stopped wearing them for a while in favor of dresses.

I have a funny NSV...I was shaving my legs and when I ran my hand over my thigh I felt something hard and thought I had some kind of mass. Upon further inspection I realized it was just muscle! I wasn't use to having hard, muscular thighs...I was use to soft flabby ones!

That's funny! Lol

I keep noticing my shoulders - they look downright petite if you don't look a little lower and notice the bat-wings! And is anyone else finding that some chairs are not as comfortable anymore? Evidently we have bones in our butts! Who knew? Lol

I went to Putt Putt Golf and Games on Saturday with my hubby and 2 kids. I did miniature golf, batted softballs in the batting cage, and rode the go carts. I haven't been able to do this stuff in years! Then, we went bowling after that! I consider myself a slow weight loser...I have lost 65 lbs since surgery on March 19. But I have gone from a 26 pant to a 20 pant, a 3x to a 1x, and dresses from 24 to an 18! I have so much energy and I have so much more stuff to do!

Yesterday I moved myself and 3 children with minimal help and the only time I had to sit down before we were finished was in the car! Major accomplishment! A year and a half ago when I moved I couldn't even lift a box! Yesterday I helped and I don't feel horrible this morning! AWESOME!!!!!!

Yesterday I flew from Texas to Oregon. The seatbelt had an extra 8 inches, I fit entirely on the seat, the tray came down with many inches to spare, plus the best thing was not feeling like I was huffing and puffing trying to get to different gates.. Not just with my carryon but I was also carrying a little 10 lb dog with me in another carryon! I felt great!

That is funny. U went to watch my nieces volleyball game and my butt got so sore after 2 games. I used to make it through 5 games with no problem.

Today is one month from my surgery date and I'm considering this to be my first nsv and that is I actually weight the same as what is says on my drivers license. May sound silly but I haven't been this weight in years!

I can't wait to do the same!

There was a little gap between me and the steering wheel this morning on my first commute to work after surgery. Great way to start the day.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
