Make it happen! Go to a party, out to dinner or to a show (and I don't mean movie), go to a wine tasting, or see a local band perform anywhere fun! In our town locals are always performing in coffee shops and community centers. There's even a berry farm that sponsors free concerts each week on their property. :-) Buy that dress!

Yesterday I bought a 3x Miraclesuit pantygirdle (ughh! That sounds awful) Brcause someone said her doctor told her if you wear tight fitting clothes your skin will not droop so much, will shrink in the right place - also since i am down 35 pounds since i started the "journey" i have discovered at least 8 pairs of size 24 jeans in my closets. Up and down for 30 years will do that? So goodwill is gonna have a big windfall of fat clothes this year . My surgical date is sept 3, 2013. An inch at a time.

Not a doctor, but I wouldn't bet the farm on tight fitting clothing keeping your skin from sagging....however it can't hurt and I'm sure would smooth out the lumps and bumps I have from my loss!

I've noticed the more I loose, the more the lumps and bumps go away as well !

Absolutely agree!!! The 30-40 Pound loss me was funky funky with stuff sticking out in the strangest places....though saggy, the last 10 pounds have definitely helped smooth things out and make a world of difference how I look in clothing!

My doctor told me to use a girdle. That it helped keep things tight. Doesn't prevent the loose skin. But helps the body preserve whatever elasticity it has left

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
