Nel 189 Posted April 5, 2013 So, where were you sore after surgery? I have pain right in the middle über the rib age. You know, if you drew a line from one nipple to the other, my sore spot would be in the middle of that line, about 1 inch down. Is that normal? Is that my pouch? drucella22 31 Posted April 5, 2013 Yeah Jackie know that feeling well I'm just 12 days out. I felt like a Mac truck ran over me! It really really does get noticeably better each day. Didn't take any additional pain med outside of the morphine 1 nienie reacted to this

drucella22 31 Posted April 5, 2013 I do have a question for anyone. I just ate a hardboiled egg and put in a bit of LF mayo to make wet and I chewed even tho I mashed it well. That was about an hour ago . How long does it take after eating something that you'll realize that the food isn't going to stay down? Immediately or sometime later? Usually if food isn't going to stay down you know pretty soon after eating. Papaya Enzyme helps with digestion and breaking foods down. I have used it when food has upset my stomach and if something gets stuck. I also have Zofran sublingual for nausea as since surgery I have bouts of it. This is another miracle drug. Everyday gets better the first week was rough. My pain was worse on the left upper side as this is where they used the heavy equipment for surgery. I got my stitches out 13 post op and after that I was good as gold. I am 10 weeks out eating regular food and doing awesome. So happy that I had this surgery. 1 Nel reacted to this

I called the nurse and asked if it was normal and she said it was. Now I'm just disappointed in myself for not losing anything.

celebrate*me 52 Posted April 6, 2013 I gained 10lbs in the hospital! How the heck did that happen? That's normal, you have been pumped with IV fluids. It will come off in a couple days. 1 MarinaCC reacted to this
