Ok so I have a bit of news..shocking news. I'm 6 weeks pregnant!! We haven't told our family and friends really as pregnancy is not easy with me. I've had 3 prev miscarriages. I'm on lovenox shots to my belly daily and optimistically hopeful this "change of plans" Is going to be healthy and happy ! It was such a shock..infertility for years and one oops and I'm preggo!!! Still gonna hit the gym and follow this path as healthily as I can. I've asked about what I can and can't do..so I wanna continue on this plan as close as I can..just have to nourish a baby with a bit more intake.

I'm so excited and afraid!! I didn't expect 4mo post op to be be preggo! I feel blessed and I hope tho after this baby is born I am able to get back to this lifestyle of health and fitness I've been working so hard for..gonna continue what I can between now and then tho. I'm struggling with getting my Protein in fighting morning sickness. Right now the most important part is staying hydrated so I'm trying to focus and ensure I can at least stay that! I call this Murphy's law!!! I was round and preggo looking before and I finally lose weight and get a somewhat flat belly..and here comes baby! Yep Murphy's law :)

So I saw everyone else posting pictures and thought I would too:) I unfortunately don't think I have much in the way of before pics as I hardly ever took pictures before and the ones I do have I was always making a super silly face to cover up how insecure I felt:( but anyhow I love my surgery and feel the best I have in years:) I've even been able to come off of my anti depression meds I've been on for six years and anti anxiety meds and super string sleeping pills. I never. Thought I'd be off of these so that makes me proud! I've been working out hard to get as far down as possible before I gain back the 15 percent the dr says most patients gain back but I don't want to be super skinny just fit and strong I really want to utilize my tool to the best of my ability. Sorry about the rant but I've just been feeling so great lol that being said I started at over230 now am 156. I'd like to eventually remain at somewhere between 125 and 130 ish but up to 145 is healthy for me so that'd be okay if I was fit too:) I am still insecure about my arms and feel my face is somewhat chunky. I know some if you have issues seeing yourself the way you are and I know that I do! This is me in south padre about a week ago :) ( please excuse the booty shorts lol it seemed modest at the time as everyone was wearing bikinis:)

Holy moly hot mama

I was wondering where you were!! Dont get discouraged! You lost so fast at first if I remember correctly. Have you talked to the doctor? Are you getting your Protein? You are ahead of the amount that I have lost so you are doing great. You may just be in a stall but from what ive read, you should continue to lose quite a bit yet. Stick with it my friend! Best of luck! ;)

Thanks ...I am still working at it I am getting enough protein most days but I am having a hard time getting in all my fluids ...I was supposed to go to the drs today for my monthly check up but my 2yr old daughter is sick and was up all night last night ...I'm really hoping its just a stall since I haven't had one yet but it can be very nerve racking

I just got the call from my spine surgeons office. After meeting with his partners they decided my back issue is a definite surgical problem and will be doing the surgery on December 12. I should lose more weight by then which will help both them and me. I am very happy that it is scheduled and is going to happen so I dont have to live this way forever! Not looking forward to ths surgery and recovery but the thought of being pain free makes it all worth it. So glad I had the bypass and lost the weight so this could finally happen!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
