Ok, enough of this bullshitting myself already! It stops NOW! I am almost 9 months out and only managed to lose 107 or so pounds. I still have 60 to go!! And why? Exercise and the LACK thereof. But this is stopping RIGHT now. So here are my goals for January: * gym 4 times a week (20 min treadmill, 20 min elliptical/rower, 20 min weights) * Saturday and Sunday: stationary bike for 30 mins * work on mindful meditation.

Anyone joining me on this fitness crusade? It is our surgaversary in 3 months!!

It is hard to believe it's almost a year

Well my surgeon called and left a message on my cell telling me I have some abnormalities that was seen on my upper GI. So now I just wait for the call back. I'm sure its just a ulcer.

I am joining you. Thanks for the invite. I have lost 87 and need to lose 37(ish) more. I have been stuck at 212 for months now, and like you, it is because of the LACK of exercise. I won't be able to go to the gym ($$$) but I have a nordic track and a treadmill and some weights here at home. No reason for me not to be using them. I want to get 12 lb. off THIS month. I have something to do the first weekend in Feb and I want so bad to be down 100 by then. Then 2 months to get the rest off. I know it can be done if I do what I am supposed to do. My 1 yr check up is scheduled for Mar 31 and I want to be at goal by then.

I am feeling very frustrated today! The scale is not moving at all and I am out of ideas! I know we stall but honestly, today I'm over it! Maybe I'm done losing but I hope not. Can't wait for this back to heal so I can exercise cuz I know that would help. I eat right, drink Water constantly and get my Protein in. I should walk but it's been too cold, and I'm super afraid to slip and fall. I can't drive yet to go to the mall and walk either. Sorry for the self pity. I'm having an off day! Thanks for listening friends.

Shame Dori man. Remember, one day at a time. You do what you can on every new day. And focus of how far you have come. This road is leading you somewhere, some place good. And how you get there is taking one step at a time, everyday.

You'll be just fine in the end. Thinking of you and Kris! xxx

Thanks so much. Today I am needing encouragement instead of being able to give it. I just dumped big time. Only the second time it happened. I was just so down that I ate some Cereal I shouldn't have and the a handful of chocolate chips. Don't know why I did this when I have come so far and never cheat! I guess I thought that since I'm not losing, I may as well eat what I want. I paid for it and am glad!

Hang in there. I'm back down to where I was before my Water gain. I wish I would dump! I hate that Nothing bothers me and when I say nothing I mean NOTHING!

Me neither...I wish I never tested it. chocolate & candy...I keep eating it. Not much...just a piece here and there but I went 7 months with none when I was afraid of dumping!

I'm GLAD I did! It makes me realize that I have to stay focused and work at it. I was HONESTLY so strict about stuff and then this last week I've been having trouble. Hopefully I got this little bump in the road over with. Dumping is horrible! I don't want to go thru this again!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
