Half my shift is licked just waiting for the other half to get done. So far so good. I just always say another day another adventure.

On a positive note..I've pretty much fully got my husband on board with the whole healthy life style. He has put on about 20lbs since June. He also has had 2 diff foot surgeries and is still now in a cam boot. He is seeing the light about our need to be healthier(rather his) as my diet has gotten alot better. Maybe will make it easier. He only has bought pizza one time this week :) that's a big start for him.

My fqmily is totally on board too. My son is having the sleeve in October and has lost over 90 on his own so far. My girls joined a gym yesterday and my hubby is watching his food as well. He needs to cuz he is diabetic. Makes it easier when everyone is on the same page! Hope you survived the night and are sleeping good now. We are having a thunderstorm and I cojld take a nice long nap. ;)

Happy birthday Dorian!

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I have been feeling a little better today. Still laying around in bed but hopefully be up and moving tomorrow. Ended up with all kinds of medication and I was so proud to not be taking hardly anything after surgery so that kinda sucks.

My whole family has been eating waaaayyy healthier. No sodas or Snacks in the house except fruits and veggies, diet Decaf tea and some not-so-bad crackers. The kids are loving the fruit and veggies. My hubby has lost about 15lbs in the last couple of weeks. He is doing a weight loss challenge at work. Of course my inlaws do not understand how I am losing all this weight, they don't know about my surgery and think I'm on drugs. LMAO! They freaked out when my hubby turned down his Moms fried potatoes and spam. I was super impressed. Hope this lasts, it makes it easier.

Have a great birthday. My girls wanted to take me out for supper but I really wasnt in the mood for anything. We ended up eating scrambled eggs and refried Beans at home and then went for some frozen yogurt. I had some sugar free strawberry with pretzels, cashews and mandarin oranges on it, which we ate sitting down by the lake. It gave me a HUGE stomachache! Not dumping I dont think, but not fun. So im now laying in bed trying to relax. Even though I am over 4 months out sometimes this whole thing is still hard. But sooooo worth the results!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
