Seen my primary care doc yesterday. Had a bunch of blood drawn...Will know results in a few days. Curious to know if i'm lacking in anything. Good news! She's weening me off my blood pressure meds! She thinks i may be hypoglycemic because i break out in sweats all day long. Could be menopause too. She explained how our bodys process everything differently now. Went into detail about blood sugars that went way over my head! I'm losing so slow and kinda down about it...but she was thrilled with my results so far. Made me feel better :)

That's great news. Love the new pic too btw! I haven't had any labs again and they told me 6 mo so makes me nervous. I'm sure u are doing great :) I totally understand the feeling slow and down about it..I totally get it. Glad u got such a good report

I'm so sorry to hear that. U have been through alot lately. I hope things get better. Have they done a ct or MRI? Be strong and praying they find out what wrong soon.

They did both...it's definitely neurological...dont see that doc until sept.....it's a teaching hospital, so appt.s are super hard to get. I still need the graft in my neck stented or revised...I am, however, losing greatly... 15 lbs. To onederland!

I over heat and sweat all day too. I still can not stop my bp meds yet. I keep tripling out. They have no reason why I'm bay red and sweating all the time. I'm on a estrogen patch. I hope my liver biopsy in two weeks gives us answers.

You're so sweet! I just noticed our stats are about the same...but you've lost way more than me. Good to know I'm not alone on the slow loser bench. I guess we are just too hard on ourselves...trying to keep positive and move forward.

Positive and just getting down. I think we all get kinda rough on ourselves..we just want to have this work so badly! U def aren't alone in this. I go weeks without seeing the scale move. Now I just want to lose the 2lbs I've gained back and that aren't wanting to go! Hang in there!! Hoping its all worth it for us in the end!

The sweating is such a pain in the butt! It's like waves of heat and i get a prickly feeling down my arms and torso when it happens. Each flash last about 30 seconds...but goes on all freaking day long!!! The nurse should call me today with blood results. Hoping you get answers with your biopsy!

Don't stress...you will be fine. Kuddo's to you for waiting so long to indulge. I've certainly had my moments :)...We are only human and can't expect to follow the rules each and every day. For me, that just makes me fail when i'm so restricted on what i allow myself to eat.

Dont stress! We will all make mistakes and need to just move on! I am surprised you were even able to eat it all. I physically cant eat that much. Guess thats a good thing!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
