How are you feeling today

Was up ALL night! The pain is gone, I'm guessing it was gas from what I read. Took gas x like crazy, and its better. Gonna stick to liquids today, cuz I threw up everything I ate yesterday. How are you?? Is your pain still there?

Me too! Mine flung across the room the other night' date=' took me awhile to find it![/quote']

Buy a cheap skinny band that is kinda tight for you and use it to keep your ring on. That is what I do.

To right my husband decided to fry chicken that I left out to bake. I have no clue why he does this? He knows I can't eat it, bit started cooking before I got off work. Sometimes it feels like o am completely alone in this struggle. Sucks!!

Thank u Janice! I hope u start feeling better soon as well. You are totally right about the vomiting happening so fast!! Water aerobics would be great and I hope u can return soon. Most of my incisions are healed except one which still has a stubborn scab.

Saltine crackers are my friend right now. I have managed to keep about a tbsp on food down tonight but I'm thinking of just taking Protein Shakes and cheese sticks to work as I'm starting at a new location of my job and nobody knows me and I don't feel like having to explain being sick. Thanks for your support and I'm here also if u ever need to email. I'm learning this forum and app and still trying to navigate as well..

Nice to hear from you! I called the drs. office today to advance to stage 5. Told nurse about the vomiting. She said to go back to stage 3. pureed foods. Tonight for dinner I had one cheese stick and one slice of turkey coldcut, and vomitted that up minutes after. I've only had about 235 calories today! The nurse said she suspects my stomach hasn't healed yet and to stick to the foods in Stage 3. I see the doctor tomorrow afternoon for my one month follow up, so I hope he has some more advice. I didn't think I could eat saltine crackers, but I will try them. I have a bag of mini saltines that you can sprinkle on Soup. They might go down well. I don't feel hungry, but I am very fatigued so I suspect I need to eat more. I plan on taking only the easily digestible foods to work, like you, because I don't want to get sick at work. Hopefully, things will improve with time. Take care!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
