Can some one tell me what yougart they eatbother than greek. Fruit....no fruit....i am semi-lactose intolerant and not a big fan of cottage cheese. I want to try yougart and i dont like the thick greek yougart. HELP!!!!!!!!!! :/

I didnt like the greek kind but after surgery it wasnt bad

I like the yoplait light in the blue container it has 80- 90 calories

I remeasured the chicken in the measuring cup then put it on the food scale and 3oz in the measuring cup was only 2.5 oz on the scale and i couldnt finish it all so im.good for tonightand now i know from now on to weigh lol

Just left my Drs for my 3 week check up which was actually this past Tuesday jut he wasnt in the office.....so i was excited cuz i thought i was gonna be put on soft foods but nope im now able to have pureed food only :( like baby food consistency ughhhh over 3 weeks and no food and now i have to have mush im so aggravated and i prob shouldnt be but really thought id at least be able to have fish or other soft foods my dr has to be the STRICTEST dr ever so now im on my way home to .puree something YUM....lol

Oh yeah on the plus side im down 24lbs and he said my incision looked much better and should close on its own now

Glad your infection has cleared up! I was on liquids for three weeks too. Now I'm on puréed for three weeks. I made a puréed chicken salad that was pretty good--still eating lots of Soups though. I can't wait till I can eat some shrimp with sautéed veggies!

Has anybody had trouble with crystal light everytime I try it it hurts my pouch everytime its so weird referring to my stomach as a pouch

It doesn't hurt me or anything but I'm sick to death of it. I've started drinking just plain Water now.

Glad your infection has cleared up! I was on liquids for three weeks too. Now I'm on puréed for three weeks. I made a puréed chicken salad that was pretty good--still eating lots of Soups though. I can't wait till I can eat some shrimp with sautéed veggies!

Thank you :) ok so im not the only one lol that makes me feel a little better ;) i cant have soups either but how did u make your chicken salad ? Im sure ill want variety.

I bought a roasted chicken and pulled some of the meat off that and tossed it in my mini cuisinart. I puréed it with spoon of mayo, a spoon of Greek yogurt, a tablespoon of dill pickle and a whole lot of dried dill weed. Salt and pepper. My pouch tolerated it really well.

That does sound yummy! Now im looking for a way to make something pureed with crabmeat for my traditional seafood on mothers day i found i wish i could find a crab cake type thing

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
