LeticiaHuggins 177 Posted March 31, 2013 Did the Dr office lead you to believe that your age "may" be the issue. ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221**8 days post op: Down 19 lbs**

erikaloftin 62 Posted April 1, 2013 Usually they'll let you know their requirements up front. My dr wont do it under 21. but that's the surgeon's choice, not the insurance.
ChrissyVon 3 Posted May 8, 2013 I've had to visit 3 different surgeons because of my age, 2 of them didn't want to do the surgery but my doctor recommended that I see a surgeon that a lot of his patients go to in one of the suburbs north of Boston, MA. He is happy to do the surgery (my date is 5/20/13) and confident that this would be good for me and it works out because I don't have to go into Boston for every single dr. apt! (I've had at least 1 apt. every week since I saw him first) and he is a lot nicer than the other ones I've met. so, every surgeon is different. Some have an age preference, some don't. If you get denied, just go somewhere else. Don't give up!
