Hi all. Just found this app. Hoping to get some good suggestions on things. I just had surgery on Monday. How long till this pain and soreness goes away. I'm trying to not use the pain meds so much.

Hi!!.. I had surgery on Monday as well!!.. I have been doing very well!!.. Pain level hasn't been bad, I've been taking half the dose. I can walk without a problem except I get tired easily and some nausea... How has it been for u?

The pain meds make my stomach upset so I am trying not to take too much. Walking is not too much of a problem for me its getting in and out of bed sometimes I'll get a sharp pain. Find myself getting tired easily and wanting to take naps.

Yeah I'm still taking naps!! I get very tired. This is my second day not taking the pain meds. I'm doing well without them. I did take it before bed though because I feel it more when I lay down. I haven't been getting nauseas, which is good.

No pain meds for me today either. I did take it last night before bed. Gonna try not to today. I'm feeling good except for the gas pains. Gosh how long do they last! No matter how much I walk around I still feel bloated and gassy!

I definitely have gas... But it's been coming out, my poor husband!!.. Lol... It's really a concentrated smell!!.. Gas pain was the thing I feared the most after surgery, I heard do much about it. I told my husband I'm letting it out every chance I have because I don't want to suffer... But like I said, my POOR husband.. Lol

LoL my mom had to suffer the horrible gas with me :-) Can't believe it's almost a year for me. As for pain just keep walking and moving around and sip sip sip on Water. I had to take pain meds a little longer then most. I developed a slight infection in my largest incesion that was quite painful for about 3 weeks. But after that I was good :-) as far as pain. Adjusting to foods took a lil longer :-)
