DebbieG 262 Posted April 24, 2013 I start my pre op diet may 4 omg think of what my last big meal will be lol I start on my birthday, Monday April 30'th. Guess, I will have a nice meal the day before my bday. Lol. Still deciding on what. Hehehe Surgery date: May 14, 2013
crmills74 11 Posted April 24, 2013 Yes. My surgery is scheduled for 6 May 2013. It's been a long process. I've been in the program for almost a year. Before going to the orientation, I was on Opti-Fast and taking Phentermine. Shortly after, I began the plan given by the program and stopped taking the appetite suppressants. I gained 20 lbs and was required to lose the weight before getting scheduled for surgery. We had to sign a statement saying that we could not gain any weight. This was because previous participants just went on an eating frenzy after they got into the program thinking that since they were getting the surgery, they could just gorge until the date. Anyway, I'm happy to have found this forum and wish you and everyone good luck.

crmills74 11 Posted April 24, 2013 I start my pre op diet may 4 omg think of what my last big meal will be lol Yes, that's the same day I start mine as well! Unfortunately, I had to have my last meal on Monday since we are required to do a 2 week Atkins type diet. Then 2 days prior to surgery is when we do the clear liquid diet. What do you think you'll have?

nursemissy 42 Posted April 24, 2013 I am blessed with no pre-op liquid diet anything. I do get the pleasure of mag citrate to clean out the intestines. EGD tomorrow then bypass monday! I am done with my food funeral and not sure about my last meal.

hsegel 1 Posted April 25, 2013 I only told my three kids, they are 30, 25, & 21. They are really supportive. I haven't said anything to my sisters because I know they would be extremely negative and all I would hear is "you are taking the easy way out"
