I am very much in need of some size 24 and size 22 work clothes. I have some big presentations coming up and can not afford to buy new for every size - especially on my non-profit salary. I just found out this board even exists. My e-mail is mcenfinger@gmail.com. Can we work something out?

Are you still in need? My surgery isn't until 11/5 but I work from home now and no longer need my size 22/24 professional clothes. I have a few brand new outfits too that I will never wear now.

Hi ladies!!!

A friend of mine just told me about a site called "Poshmark". It's an Apple site where you can take pictures of your stuff and sell them. It's awesome. I just downloaded it, really simple and the company takes care of postage. They just require you to pick up the boxes from the local postoffice, etc. She has been selling a lot of her stuff. Right now I haven't had my surgery (11/11/13 yeah!!!) so once I start losing and I know I won't go back into the 3X's I'm going to start unloading.

Anyway, just a thought and suggestion if anyone wanted to make a couple bucks. God knows we pay a lot for our clothes. lol

Thanks for replying - but I think I will be needing size 20 in a matter of weeks. I bought a few things to get through my presentations - and am just trying to make so best i can for now.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
