lissa863 74 Posted March 25, 2013 Ok I have 3 boys and a husband. On the weekends I also have my stepson and stepdaughter. I try not to let what they eat bother me. But my husband keeps bringing junk food that I use to love ( choclate, breads, pastas, soadas, etc) in the house. I've tried talking to him but he just gets hurt or angry. What can I do to keep the peice without either of us suffering?
padlrd 183 Posted March 25, 2013 You have to try to get your whole family eating healthy does anyone else have a weight problem just try telling your husband you need his help to and try to get everyone to look at your life this could be them to if the keep eating all the junk food 1 nienie reacted to this
slowtogo 301 Posted March 25, 2013 Sadly-our choices are not theirs. It's not fair to expect the world to accommodate us. Try getting yourself some tasty alternatives. Your favorite fruits and beverages. Special Proteins like scallops just for you. And if he starts to gripe, explain that while you don't demand that he change, those scallops for one cost far less than the sodas that he will drink. Or whatever. 2 nienie and Marisela reacted to this
lissa863 74 Posted March 25, 2013 No they are not over weight. My hubby is one of those guys who eats anything and everything all day and don't gain weight! I've gotten me "special" things and I do the cooking. They generally eat healthy except when they snack. Which seems yo be all day sometimes... guess its just something I have to learn to live with and not rant about.
babs963 201 Posted March 25, 2013 We all are eating healthy in our household but my husband and kids still like to have some snack choices that aren't "carrots and hummus or a nice apple". I keep a snack cupboard with choices for them. Torrtilla chips and salsa, fat free triskets or wheat thins, cheese its and granolla bars. I make them High protien Peanut Butter bannana bread and there are so many "healthy cookie recipes on Pintrest... Yogurt Blueberry drop cookes and oatmeal Applesauce cookies... I make them - they eat them since I am just one month out. Good luck! Oh and if my family is having a nice snack I make myself a cup of International Cafe - Swiss Mocha - sugar free Decaf.. Yum
