Hi kiddo! How ya doing? I'm losing extremely slow. I've lost 82 in the10 months. I'm still at 200, I've had to have my abdomen opened up twice to have some hernias repaired. I may never get to 160, and that's ok if I don't. I got rid of the diabetes, so I'm happier than I was!

I've been getting that same feeling lately. Im about 25 pounds away from my goal. But the weight loss is sooo slow. Maybe a pound a week or month at this point. - 9 months out.

I am losing about a pound a month now. I was a year out in feb. but I have also hit my goal weight and just want to maintain now in the 150's so I don't start looking sickly. I'm a big boned girl and the 150's is about where I want to stay. May seem like a lot to some but at 5'7" I think it's a great weight.

Beth... You will. I thought the same way and still have a hard time believing I am where I am. That dang mind just won't keep up. 100 lbs is awesome and in a blink of an eye you will be where you want to be

I finally reached mine last week. In fact I reached my goal weight of 150 ( and then passed it), and 100 lbs lost. I am currently at 146 which puts me at 110 lost. I am 10 months out!

I am amazed everyday that this is the new me!

I haven't moved an ounce down in two months. I am at 11 months. I have lost a total of over 125 lbs. But would love to lose another 20.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
