Erica 6 Posted March 24, 2013 In the last 4-5 days, my legs have been crampy and achy - like when you have the flu, but enough that it wakes me up at night. Tylenol helps a little, but neither exercise nor rest makes any difference. My mom suggested that I may be deficient in Potassium or Magnesium... Has anyone heard of this? I picked up supplements of both and started them today, so we'll see if that makes a difference... Thoughts? Suggestions? 8.5 months post-op Down 118 pounds
kmiller 146 Posted March 24, 2013 Could also be low sodium, or heaven forbid a blood clot. I think you should see your doctor. At least call and make him aware.
Vicki Loichinger 444 Posted March 24, 2013 I agree call your Doc in the morning. It could be those things. And they may want to do a blood test to see if this is the case. Then they will tell you how much of the potassium and magnesium you need. They may even give you a prescription for them if you are that low. But it does sound like something is amiss. And I know it is so frustrating and uncomfortable. I suffer from restless leg syndrome and take meds for it every evening. But I have felt what you feel and It is different. You need to get it checked out so you can treat it and feel better.
