I am right there with you in the stall!! I am 8 mos post op and stuck at 292!! I also have just started working out and making myself stay on a schedule for it. I started at 417 and am down to 292 so I guess I am not doing so bad. I just wanted you to know you are not alone in the stall and hopefully we can get past it soon. It does make you think you are doing something you should not be or could be doing better but just take the best care of yourself you can and it will be fine!! Also check out this app called fooducate I just discovered it and it is awesome! You can scan the barcode of a food and it will tell you all about it and can add it to a food log if you choose it to!! Good luck!

Thanks I just downloaded the app so I will see how this goes!!!

My soc said during the times of stalls on the scale is when we lose the most inches. I found him to be completely right on that.

When I hit long periods of stalls I always increased my Protein intake and it usually will snap the stall. Try not to get to hung up on the scale numbers. Muscle does weigh more than fat and this is a marathon not a sprint for weight loss!

Yeah I try not to just look at the numbers. So I know I really need to hurry and get tape measurer. Thank you for the encouragement and yes I know I have to keep in mind that this is a marathon!!

Definitely do the my fitness pal. Under settings u can set ur only calorie goal. Make sure ur getting enough food and Protein. And I agree with everyone else about muscle and losing inches.

Try not to stress too much. I'm sure u r doin great!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
